The scope of renovations in the Acute Rehab Unit at Samaritan Medical Center included 12 new patient rooms, 1 new ALC nurse station, and 1 renovated ARU Nurse station in addition to a variety of other improvements.
The Acute Rehab Unit (ARU) area consisted of the renovation of 13,245 SF on the fourth floor and the demolition and abatement of 11,942 SF on the third floor to create an empty space for a future Labor & Delivery Unit, which will be completed in another phase. The fourth floor renovation final product included 12 new patient rooms, 1 new ALC nurse station, 1 renovated ARU Nurse station, training areas with kitchen, living room, bedroom, and bathroom, multipurpose/activity room, exercise/activity space, waiting & storage, a locker room & lounge, and Fan Coil Unit Replacement in 7 rooms in the ALC unit.
