Fire and Emergency Services - Phase III

This Design/Build project consists of the design and construction of the third phase of the Fire and Emergency Services Center Facility at Ft. Lee, VA.

This 12,400 sf addition to the existing building is located on the corner of 5th Street between Adams Avenue and Byrd Streets, Fort Lee, Virginia. The building addition includes a one story dormitory facility design and was constructed to support two stories for future expansion. The main building includes 10 drive-through apparatus bays. Construction is a load bearing masonry and steel frame structure, brick and cast stone veneer with a structural standing seam metal roof system. Interior is completely finished including casework, building equipment, programmable DDC system, PA system, vehicle exhaust system, hose reels assemblies, custom firemen lockers, heating system, lighting, power, communications, and fire protection. The facility matches the architecture of the Phase I construction to produce a homogeneous completed structure. Beardsley Design Associates provided design services to the Design/Build Team.
